ABOUT

Karolina Marczuk is an artist originally from Poland. Her creative journey began in early childhood and developed through formal artistic education. She graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Bydgoszcz and later earned a Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, specialising in fashion and footwear design.

Even before completing her diploma, Karolina’s collections gained recognition and were presented at major fashion events, including Poland Fashion Week. Over the years she has built experience both as the founder of her own clothing brand under her name and through collaborations with large fashion companies and international fashion corporations.

Driven by curiosity and a desire to explore different cultures, Karolina moved to England in 2020—just two weeks before the first lockdown. During this time she created her first series of illustrations inspired by the natural beauty of Somerset and its surrounding landscapes. This period reignited her desire to develop her own artistic voice and translate it into new forms of expression.

Based in Brighton and occasionally working in London through guest spots, Karolina creates highly detailed fine line tattoos in black and grey. Her work blends surrealism, pop surrealism, illustration and abstract forms, often combining organic shapes with imaginative compositions. Her pieces are defined by a distinctive line quality and a strong sense of visual storytelling. She approaches the body as a living canvas, creating designs that flow naturally with its form. Tattooing marks the beginning of a new chapter in her artistic practice, where she continues to expand her visual language onto the human body.

Alongside tattooing, Karolina is currently developing a new line of clothing designs. Everything she creates is driven by deep passion and careful attention to detail. Each piece—whether a tattoo or a design—is created with the individual in mind, making every work a personal and meaningful collaboration.
