TATTOO CARE GUIDE
Thank you so much for trusting me with your tattoo! I care deeply about how it heals and want to help you take the best possible care of your new piece of art. Please read carefully and reach out if you have any questions.
01
Rest well the night before. Being tired makes the process feel more intense.
04
Avoid alcohol or drugs for at least 24 hours before. They thin your blood and affect healing.
07
Wear comfy clothes that give easy access to the tattoo area.
02
Eat a good meal 1–2 hours before your appointment—never come on an empty stomach.
05
Avoid caffeine the morning of your session (it can make you more sensitive).
07
Bring snacks and water, especially for longer sessions.
03
Stay hydrated throughout the day.
06
Moisturise the area for a few days beforehand if your skin is dry.
09
Don’t fake tan, shave, or exfoliate the day before or on the day. If shaving is needed, I’ll do it gently at the studio.
BEFORE YOUR TATTOO
Getting tattooed is exciting—but preparation makes a big difference in how the session goes and how your skin heals. Here’s how to get ready:
AFTERCARE
SECOND SKIN
DAY 1–4
Keep the second skin on for up to 4 days (unless it leaks, peels, or causes irritation—then remove sooner).
It’s normal to see ink, plasma, or fluid trapped underneath. Don’t worry—it’s part of the healing.
AFTER REMOVAL
Wash gently with unscented soap and lukewarm water.
Pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel.
Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free, moisturising cream twice a day.
CLING FILM
DAY 1 (AFTER THE TATTOO)
Keep the cling film on for 2–3 hours.
Wash the tattoo gently with unscented soap and lukewarm water.
Pat dry and apply a thin layer of aftercare balm.
Re-wrap with fresh cling film before bed (only for the first night).
DAY 2–14
Wash and moisturise 2–3 times daily.
Keep the tattoo clean and dry—avoid soaking, tight clothes, or heavy workouts.
Do not pick, scratch or peel scabs or flakes. Let them fall off naturally.
LONG TERM CARE
Once healed, always use SPF on your tattoo when exposed to the sun.
Moisturise regularly to keep the tattoo vibrant.
Send me a healed photo — I’d love to see how it looks on your skin!
Thank you again for choosing me. I’m honoured to be part of your tattoo journey :) – Karolina
